Ben Choi
CEO & Director
After unsuccessfully convincing his cofounders to let him invest as a venture capitalist, Ben joined CoffeeTable as CEO and co-founder. If you can't beat them, join them. Ben brings over a decade of experience operating and investing in mobile startups ranging from Greystripe to Yahoo. Ben is also a Venture Partner at Maveron, a consumer-focused venture capital firm founded by Howard Schultz.
Chris Friedland
Chairman
Chris is the founder of Build.com, a top 100 Internet Retailer with over 200 employees and $300+m in annual revenue. Chris is an e-commerce veteran with over 10 years experience in e-commerce software development, brand development, merchandising, marketing, and sales.
David Berman
Director
David is a seasoned entrepreneur and CEO with decades of experience in starting and selling a variety of B2B and B2C companies. Most recently, David was co-founder and CEO of Decorative Product Source, the industry's first online merchant of decorative home products.
Meet the Team
Gabriel Rinaldi
CTO
Gabriel is the CTO of CoffeeTable. Previously, Gabriel was a pioneer in iOS development in Brazil, where he led the development team of FingerTips.Mobi. He later co-founded Galapagos Mobile, which was succesfuly sold to ADBAT/TESLA. Prior to his days as an iOS developer, held numerous management roles in Marketing. Outside of work hours Gabriel is enjoying discovering San Francisco and challenging the locals to pick-up Tennis games.
Peri Kadaster
VP Marketing
Peri is responsible for CoffeeTable’s shopper acquisition and engagement as VP Marketing. Previously, Peri was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where she advised leading companies in the retail and consumer technology industries. At McKinsey, Peri specialized in consumer marketing and served as interim Director of Client Development for NM Incite, a Nielsen-McKinsey joint venture on social media intelligence. Peri received her MBA from Harvard Business School. Of Turkish heritage, Peri is fondly known as CoffeeTable’s Chief Ottoman.
Marissa Kim
VP Brand Management
As VP of Brand Management, Marissa is responsible for managing CoffeeTable's retail partnerships and driving engagement with CoffeeTable's retail brands. Previously, Marissa co-founded a New York-based women's fashion label, where she produced several New York Fashion Week Shows and developed key retailer relationships. Marissa also practiced law in the New York offices of Skadden Arps, specializing in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. Marissa's weekend past-time is to learn Python and Ruby like all the cool developers.
Courtney English
Head of Sales
Courtney is part of CoffeeTable's sales team and responsible for helping our retailers navigate the tablet commerce space and get started on CoffeeTable. Previously, Courtney was part of a six-person women's apparel line based in New York City and still loves all things fashion. On weekends you can find Courtney on the soccer field, hiking, or attempting to become a domestic godess.
Jeremy Cashman
Director Business Development
Jeremy Cashman is responsible for business development as a member of the sales team. He has over 12 years experience in advertising, brand management and business development with companies such as Bates Worldwide and The J.M. Smucker Company. Jeremy is an outdoors junkie and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, motorcycle riding, boating and trying to keep up with his three young children!
Anson Liang
Senior Product Manager
As the Senior Product Manager, Anson is responsible for defining CoffeeTable's product roadmap, features, and user experience. Previously, Anson co-founded two consumer-facing start-ups, where he led the development of multiple products on web and mobile from conceptualization to launch. Anson also has a wide range of experience in business, marketing, and supply chain management besides his technical expertise in computer science. Outside of work Anson is an avid soccer player, traveler, and hiker.
Nicholas Freymuth
Developer
Nick is the lead backend developer at Coffeetable, responsible for looking after the 'brain' of the CoffeeTable app, and creating the tools for our team to teach it new things. In his spare time, he loves reading SQL Administrators Quarterly, programming in esoteric software languages with questionable real-world applications, and writing inductive proofs for the time complexities of sudoku solvers.
Trish Ogbinar
Account Manager
Trish is part of the Account Management Team where she manages the ongoing relationships with CoffeeTable's retailer partners. Trish graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Originally from the Philippines, Trish also teaches Filipino folk dancing and dances for Kawayan Folk Arts.
Kristina Altman
Account Manager
Kristina is part of the Account Management team where she manages the retailer on-boarding process, from making catalogs live on the app, to building and maintaining retailer relationships. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BA in International Relations. As one who loves dancing, she is known to be the one to bust out a move when time permits.
